Mountain Dew’s dewmocracy commercials uses the American anthem to inspire the spirit of democracy. It’s tacky tacky tacky. What kind of commentary does it say about national pride to use the American anthem to hawk product to consumers? Spin it any way you want PR and ad people, but whomever came up with this campaign is clearly short-sighted and makes a rather cheap and declasse attempt at inspiring action – if I worked on this campaign I’d feel rather dirty and like a bit of a loser for suggesting and supporting that ripping off a weak Jimi Hendrix version the Star Spangled Banner was somehow a good idea.

March 25, 2008 by rivraffI just edited a video for a client. Well, I was the producer, not the editor. My boss says “Tell the editor ‘Great Job’”. I thought to myself…this was not compiled by one man. I’m the one that gave the editor direction.
Work losers
March 20, 2008 by rivraffBackstabbing bitches that take credit for your work. PR bitches that same “I’m so busy” and leave at 5:30 PM, say “umm can you take care of this?” and you I say “No, sorry no bandwidth” they go crying to the boss.
I hate people who know you time allocation is short and still push work down. Fuck you all.
Mac Air song
March 19, 2008 by rivraffI’m not the only one, but I LOVE the vibe from the song by Yael Naim. It’s a very Northwest vibe of song. It has that Silicon Valley, fresh money, stars in your eyes in an optimistic, I think people are nice, inspire me to change sort of way.
Pandemaniam
March 17, 2008 by rivraffAnimal Planet has some disturbing shows – gross yet intriguing. Did you see the one about the human parasites – mostly worms (not people – although I’ve known a few of those). Some chick was a massage therapist and felt a tickle in her undies. When she went to the bathroom a WORM fell out of her pants. a WORM – a roundworm to be exact. But really? Really? So horrible.
